About us

Public Institution Sport and Leisure (Lith. Sportas ir Poilsis) is a public establishment operating with the goal to address public needs by promoting beneficial activities. We have six gyms suitable for amateur and professional athletes of any age group. The sportsmen representing 12-14 different kinds of sport come here to exercise and hold competitions. 

Sportima wrestling wring is a perfect place for practicing Greco-Roman wrestling or Nhất Nam. The facility has special wrestling mats and a full set of exercise equipment for fitness training. Many athletes come to exercise here, including Lithuanian National Greco-Roman Wrestling Team, Lithuanian National Youth, Junior and Cadet Teams, Vilnius City sports schools and clubs and individual athletes.

In addition to seminars and trainings for the employees of the VIP Protection Department and private security companies, we hold international Aikido/Aikikai seminars. All our instructors are highly qualified professionals.

The Judo hall is used by the Lithuanian Olympic Sport Centre, Public Institution Olympic Hope and Vilnius City Sport Center athletes. The Lithuanian Olympic Sport Centre and Vilnius City Sport Center athletes also exercise in the boxing ring. We are planning add the second Judo hall to our universal facility in the nearest future.

The football stadium can seat 3157 people and is a popular venue for holding official and friendly matches between the strongest Lithuanian A League football teams, such as Žalgiris Vilnius, Atlantas Klaipėda, Sūduva Marijampolė, Šiauliai Šiauliai and Trakai FC. Youth and junior teams from various football clubs and schools, U-18, U-19, U-16 girls’ and men’s teams, Vilnius Football School and other football club students (to a name a few, Ateitis, Rotalis, Žaibas, Žalgirietis Football Academy, Baltic Football Academy, A. Narbekovas Football Academy, Football Academy for the Gifted, Public Institution Rain of Kindness, Public Institution Little Bees) also come here to train and practice.

Members of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, the Sunday Football League, people from various institutions and organizations and individual athletes also come to play football to our stadium. We hold a number of national and international sports events, tournaments and championships every year that attract many participants and a large audience of sports fans.

Over 252 thousand visitors come to our trainings, competitions, Lithuanian and international tournaments and other sports events held at our universal SPORTIMA facility. These athletes represent various branches of sport.

We contribute to the social integration of people with disabilities via physical education and sports by ensuring that three to four matches per year are dedicated to the disabled.

We are responsible for holding the A League tournaments of the Lithuanian Football Federation, the LFF Cup and international football championships. We also provide a wide variety of services to Vilnius City sports schools, clubs and the Lithuanian Olympic Sports Center all year round ranging from training sessions to championships.
